RONNI

Ronni Maciel is since 1997 the name of a dance hall with a huge picture of a ballet dancer at the Centro Cultural do Carmo, small town full of trees and waterfalls in the Rio de Janeiro State. And that has been Ronni, a poor boy with no easy childhood, son of a mason and a factory worker, who believed in his dream and wrote to the wife of the president asking for help to start his career and since then changed his life. By the way, the same way he used years later to ask Constanza Macras to take part in one of her auditions. What kind of magical words he used in his letters ? He made it till the best ballet companies from Brazil, such as ìTeatro GuaÌraî and has taken part in many international dance projects with important and crazy choreographers such as Deborah Colker at Kampnagel in Hamburg. Danced as Indian, children cartoon figure, at TV shows, as Ant, Carnival, Clown, Angel, so on, and came faraway to show us that this world is too small for him. His energy is unlimited and a friend says about him that it seems that he has no blood but fire itself running in his veins. Works since 2007 with Constanza Macras in berlin. And though his huge love for Rio de Janeiro, he enjoys being in Berlin.
